Starting an application process can be exhausting and overwhelming for the first time.
There are ups and downs in the beginning, as it might get harder and more tiring.
We created a list, that might help you to avoid mistakes, will speed up your application process, and also make our job a lot easier.
Questions
Not asking important questions might lead to misunderstandings. If you have any doubts, feel free to ask for further information.
Empty fields
We know that the provided template is long. This is the outcome of countless conversations with our clients and candidates. Please don’t leave fields blank, as that way, relevant information might be missed.
CV and motivational letter
Before starting the application process, we provide you with some instructions that will help you to succeed. We kindly ask you to follow them.
Try to avoid clichés when it comes to your CV to express your personality. In addition, staying away from short sentences will also show who you really are. Write concise, but elaborate sentences. Please refer to the information given by Medicolink on the hospital’s professional profile, location, and position.
Please use advanced grammar and proofread your materials. Of course, we will also double-check it, but too many mistakes show a low level of English or might reflect a lack of interest.
Please show who you are, demonstrate healthy confidence. Under- or overselling yourself might not be sympathetic to the clinics. Introduce yourself the way you are, that can never be a problem.
It is totally fine to have gaps in your work history. It can be due to maternity leave, illness, or many other things. This is quite relevant to your employer. We know that these are not necessarily bad things, but will surely raise eyebrows and the employers will ask about them. To avoid this situation, please explain those gaps in your CV.
We know that everyone has their own life, with personal accounts. Many of our interviews and applicational steps are online. To not experience any discomforting situation, please apply with a professional email address and usernames. As an example, to be easily recognizable, use your name divided with a point or comma.
Pictures
Your application picture will give us a more specific view of you, but it also has to stay professional. Place your camera at eye level in front of a plain, solid background. Try to make the head and the shoulders as clear as possible. Please keep the appearance of jewelry to a minimum. If you have any tattoos, cover them on the application photo. When it comes to the outfit, wear something appropriate and presentable, and try to look positive and fresh.
Look directly into the camera. Having a half-smile on your photo will make you look more friendly and confident to other people. On the other hand, open-mouthed grins are generally not very well-received by prospective employers.
When it comes to the position, please don’t self-inform yourself about it or the location. We will surely provide plenty of information for you so you can really imagine your new life in Denmark. In addition, please do not make rash decisions and discuss everything with your family first.
